“Just perfect”

Someone pointed me in the direction of this short editorial by Vikki Ortiz on the Chicago Tribune web site: “Just perfect, more pressure on modern moms.”

It’s short, to the point, and real…. And it kind of proves my point that Elisabeth Badinter is simply out of touch with today’s mothers.

And Ortiz’s piece has the added benefit of bravely advocating for the middle path. … The middle path doesn’t sell books or magazines, but in a world filled with experts touting the “right” way & extreme parenting models (think, “tiger moms”) we owe it to ourselves to have reasonable expectations… It can be so empowering!
